Established in 1987, Nippon Hume Concrete (Thailand) Company Limited’s business began with the manufacturing and distribution of prestressed concrete spun pile with a wide selection of product size ranging from diameter 300 mm to diameter 600 mm and diameter 800 mm, under the brand name of “NHCT” to supply the domestic market. NHCT has also provided the service of pile driving work for many prominent building construction and foundation projects, such as oil refineries, chemical plants, and petrochemical plants.
To answer to the pollution problem in the inner city area, the company was the first to introduce a non-pollution piling system in Thailand. Through introduction of the new piling method, the company has developed its most suitable arrangements for Bangkok soil conditions.

In 1997, the company saw its first export of prestressed concrete spun pile to a Shell LNG Gas Project in Nigeria under JGC Corporation of Japan, which demonstrated the company’s reputation in quality.

In 1999, with the extensive professional experiences in manufacturing and distributing PC spun pile, the company added a new product line to manufacture and distribute high quality concrete jacking pipe of internal diameter 2600 mm, with application of Japanese production technology for installation of underground power lines for the Bangkok Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA), again as a proof of the company’s high level of quality control.  To cope with this prestigious project, the company expanded the facilities in Rayong Province.

In addition, the company has also extended its product line to manufacture and distribute precast concrete jacking caisson in compliance with customers’ requirements of product design and specifications with Thai and Japanese standards for the construction of wastewater treatment and sewage system to supply for the site project situated in Samutprakarn Province. We continue to supply for wastewater treatment and sewage system in the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) and underground sub-station projects for the Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA), as well as water supply pipe line for the Metropolitan Waterworks Authority (MWA).

In 2003, the company successfully exported precast concrete jacking caisson to supply for DTSS Upper Thomson Link Sewers Project in Singapore under Ed Zublin AG, Singapore Branch. These were circular caisson of many sizes, from diameter 4400 mm to 8800 mm, and all of them being two or three segments per ring. The caissons were exported to Singapore during May to November 2003 totalling 8,600 tons.

In 2004, the company launched a new business for precast concrete segments, joining hands with a Taiwan partner, possessing the expertise in steel segment mould fabrication, and also precast concrete segments.

This business cooperation with the Taiwanese partner could lead the company to manufacture and supply high-quality pre-cast concrete segments and high precision steel segment mould for water drainage system and mass transit system in Thailand.

In October 2004, the company contracted to supply pre-cast concrete segment lining for the BMA Flood Protection Tunnel from Makkasan to Chaopraya River Project under Ch. Karnchang Public Company Limited. The segmental tunnel was 4600 mm internal diameter and the tunnel was 6-kilometer long, for a total delivered quantity of 62,000 tons.

In May 2008, the company was successful in production of PHC spun pile, requiring the concrete strength at 800 ksc, which is more than that of PC spun pile by 300 ksc. The PHC spun pile meets hard soil driving conditions and has potential demand in the South East Asia region.

In 2012, the company supplied pre-cast concrete tunnel segment lining for MRT Blue Line Extension Project Contract 2 from Sanam Chai to Tha Phra under Ch.Karnchang Public Company Limited.

With extensive experiences in the construction industry, precast concrete products have become the company’s core business in ongoing and specialized endeavours not only to actively involve in the improvement and development of infrastructure system in Thailand but also to create a positive influence on the quality of life for Thai society.
